Strengths and Professional Branding

This week we look at how to help our clients build their professional brand around their areas of highest potential. In a Corporate Sponsored Coaching environment, many clients will need help with various areas of their professional brand. I frequently support my clients by offering a few sessions on helping them to better understand and articulate their areas of strengths in order to provide the best value they can to their teams.

This week, come prepared to explore strengths according to the framework introduced below.

Strengths Resources:

Go Put Your Strengths to Work – This is an older resource at this point, but it provides Marcus Buckinghams philosophy of strengths in more detail. It has great application resources which can inform your approach to coaching around this area.

Strengthsfinder 2.0 – This is a great resource to begin exploring strengths with a client. I believe coaches can use an assessment like this to shine the flashlight on areas of strength, and then coach the client to a personalized “elevator pitch” of their strengths.
