Reflection Week 2

During the CSCT Level 3 coach training program, we will take a handful of weeks for reflection. These are not “Break Weeks” because coaches will continue to complete a set of homework. However, there is less work to do each week, which should allow coaches to catch up on homework and recordings.

Reflection Week Tasks

  • Content Review
    • Catch up or consider revisiting content from previous sessions.
    • Consider beginning review of Session 6 content (See syllabus)
  • Record and Submit Coaching Session
    • Audio only
    • 20-50 minutes session length
    • Review recording and take note of areas of development and progress
    • Please use following naming format: CoachName-Month-Day-Year (BryanH-9-16-23)
    • Estimated time to complete: 1-2 hours
    • NOTE: This recording will be used for our second 1:1 mentor coaching session. The past few weeks may make it difficult to submit a new recording which integrates the feedback you have received in the past couple of weeks. Please schedule the next 1:1 mentor coaching with a recording which does feel as if it represents growth towards your goal of MCC level performance, even if the 1:1 mentor coaching session needs to be scheduled a 2-3 weeks from this reflection week.
  • Schedule second 1:1 mentor coaching session
    • We will review full assessment of your recorded session.
    • Please provide 1 week of processing between your session submission and the date you select for your 1:1 session
    • Use this link to schedule your 1:1
  • Daily Coaching Record
    • Coaches should continue reflecting on roughly 4 coaching sessions each week taking note of their learnings using a journal/record similar to the one attached below.
    • Consider what patterns and persistent challenges you may find and be ready to discuss these learnings in the main session.
    • Time to Complete: 20-30 minutes per week
