CONGRATULATIONS!
You have made it to the end of the CSCT Level 3 MCC coach training program, and I am sure you feel 100% confident in your coaching after being picked on for about 6 months straight!
In reality, those who are on this journey often begin with more confidence than they end with, or at least their confidence has been tuned towards their current level of performance and the vast, open frontier of growth ahead of them. My hope for coaches completing this program is that they are confident in their need for continued growth knowing how much more they are capable of. There is so much more growth to experience beyond this Level 3 certificate and eventually earning your MCC credential.
So, truly, congratulations on arriving at the edge of your growth frontier. I hope you have a wonderful adventure serving your clients beyond this coach training program, and I hope your experience here will help you see more lives changed in to work you do.
This week, let’s celebrate the path behind and the road ahead together.
Thank you for coaching
Preparation Overview
- Reflection Preparation
- Come prepared to share your reflection on the journey you have taken from the beginning of this course. Take note of the patterns you identified early in your daily coaching record and what has changed since those early reflections.
- Consider bringing a recording or a portion of a recording you might like to share which you feel represents your progress towards MCC level work.
- The coach trainer may bring snippets of recordings that have stood out from the class as well to celebrate progress.
- Be ready to share plans for next few weeks, months and years as you continue to grow as a coach.
- Please take 30-60 minutes to complete this reflection preparation.
- Content Review
- Catch up or consider revisiting content from previous sessions.
- Continue to Record MCC Oriented Coaching Sessions
- Intentionally practice areas of growth
- Briefly review portions of recordings to self-assess:
- Transformational Agenda Setting
- Spaciousness (Ideally majority +4 seconds of space as a default for MCC submission consideration)
- Early use of 4/5 and 5/5 client language
- Other areas you are intentionally working on.
- The goal is not to fully self assess every recording you complete, but rather seek out those areas that need development and briefly assess any improvements that might be present.
- Sessions which are closer to MCC level performance should be considered for final mentor coaching sessions.
- Daily Coaching Record
- Coaches should continue reflecting on roughly 4 coaching sessions each week taking note of their learnings using a journal/record similar to the one attached below.
- Consider what patterns and persistent challenges you may find and be ready to discuss these learnings in the main session.
- Time to Complete: 20-30 minutes per week
